How i make my comics
This is how i make my comics. hope you enjoy!
First, i get my cat off the work space!!!

After that task is complete, i then use my see-through 2 in. by 12 in. ruler to make lines that are a quarter inch away from the edge.

after that, i draw a rough sketch on what i want it to look like, then add in the details.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q208/rtty_the_pivot/ryan%20drawings/100_4857.jpg
after that, i put a piece of card stock paper over the sketch paper, so i can put it on the make-shift light box
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q208/rtty_the_pivot/ryan%20drawings/100_4860.jpg
once I put that peice of paper on the light box, i can easily see down through the card stock and onto the sketch peice of paper where I ink on the card stock while looking at the sketch. That way there is no erasing, and no half-erased pencil lines.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q208/rtty_the_pivot/ryan%20drawings/100_4862.jpg
i inked the page's art with a #1 LOEW CORNELL Round brush. i inked the letters and the word balloons with a pilot precise extra fine rolling ball point, and finally, I inked the borders with an ultra fine sharpie.

Finally, here is my work space. my"humble abode" as you may call it. (notice "Making Comics". by Scott McClould. also "Zot!" by Scott McClould. and finally notice my funny desktop back round on my computer that says "will round house kick you for food" with Chuck Norris.)

Hello, this is Ryan! posting you from Mankato, MN!
i just wanted to post an inking of mine on here.
i've been cartooning for about 4 years now. so here it is:
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q208/rtty_the_pivot/ryan%20drawings/superZach.jpg
i use india ink with a #1 LOEW CORNELL 2037 round brush found at your local hobby lobby for the art, a pilot Precise extra fine point (rolling ball point) for the word baloons, and a sharpie ultra fine for the panel borders. This is just one of the pages from "SuperZack" a comic i'm making.
